WHY OFFSITES FAIL

The best conversations need more than an agenda.

Most offsites are carefully planned. The agenda is strong, the people are right, and the intentions are good.

But the day is still divided by meeting rooms, separate schedules, constant notifications, and the familiar rhythm of everyday work.

At sea, the pace changes.

Your team shares one environment, one journey, and more time together between the formal sessions. Conversations continue over lunch, during a swim stop, or while sailing toward the next harbor.

That continuity creates space for clearer thinking, stronger relationships, and decisions that do not end when the meeting does.

THE MECHANISM

The setting changes the conversation.

A catamaran at anchor creates a meeting environment unlike any other. Here is why it works.

  1. 01Fewer distractions

Away from everyday routines, meeting rooms, and constant interruptions, your team has the space to focus on what matters. There is still room to pause, step away, or find a quiet place - but fewer reasons to mentally leave the conversation.

  2. 02Neutral ground

Nobody's office. Nobody's turf. Roles remain clear, but the setting feels more open, balanced, and human. Titles become less visible, different voices come forward, and conversations take on a new quality.

  3. 03Shared experience

Sailing, meals, conversations, and time ashore create a common experience. A team that navigates, explores, and spends meaningful time together builds a different kind of connection - one that continues long after the retreat ends.

THE OUTCOMES

What comes home with you.

  1. Decisions, made

The decisions that have lived in "let's take this offline" for two quarters finally get the time and attention they need. Away from everyday pressure, your team can explore the options, challenge assumptions, and move forward.

  2. Alignment, tested

Not the nodding kind. The kind that survives contact with Monday because different perspectives were openly discussed, questions were asked, and the team had time to reach a shared understanding.

  3. A team that talks

Ten days of formal meetings cannot always build what a few unhurried dinners at the same table can. People go home knowing more about who they work with, how they think, and what they need from one another.

THE EXPERIENCE

Boardroom by morning. Open water by noon.

Modern catamarans from 44ft up - wide, stable, and built for conversation. The fleet starts with the Bali 4.4. A flybridge for focused sessions. A trampoline for quiet moments. A cockpit table for dinners that run long.

THE ANCHORED VERSION

  • Morning coffee and a work session on the flybridge
    Morning

    01Morning

Coffee on the flybridge, followed by the work session. The agenda is yours, the setting is ours. Your coordinator keeps the day moving so nobody from your team has to manage the schedule.

  • Afternoon swim stop in a secluded cove
    Afternoon

    02Afternoon

Sails up. A swim stop in a cove you cannot drive to. Time to reset, reflect, and continue the conversations that started during the morning session. This is often where new ideas surface and people connect beyond their usual roles.

  • Evening dinner ashore after a day on the water
    Evening

    03Evening

A table ashore at a place we have known for years. A long dinner, a short walk back to the tender, and time to enjoy the destination together. By the end of the evening, tomorrow's conversation may already have started naturally.

Wi-Fi onboard. Coastal routes. Reachable when it matters.

WHERE WE SAIL

Croatia and Greece. Chosen for a reason.

Croatian coastal town from the sea

Croatia

Modern marinas, sheltered bays, and islands located close to one another. Croatia is a strong choice for groups that value comfort, smooth logistics, and variety. The route can combine fully equipped marinas with restaurants and services on site, as well as quiet bays for swimming, lunch at anchor, and time away from the shore. Shorter passages make it easy to balance sailing with work sessions, shared meals, and time to explore a different island almost every day.

Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion at sunset

Greece

Charming town harbors, traditional waterfronts, and quiet bays surrounded by a slower, more local rhythm. Greek ports are often simpler and less developed than the modern marinas of Croatia, but they make up for it with atmosphere, authenticity, and direct access to small towns, local tavernas, and evening life along the waterfront. The route can alternate between mooring in a lively town harbor and anchoring in a peaceful bay, creating a retreat that feels less polished, more intimate, and deeply connected to the destination.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS

The crew behind the crew.

Offsite at Sea is operated by NaRejsy.pl. We are skippers, coordinators, planners, and facilitators who have spent years turning boats into places where groups can connect, work, and experience something meaningful together. We understand both sides of the retreat: the visible experience your guests remember and the detailed planning that makes it feel effortless.

When AdTonos, a London-based adtech company, needed a place for their most important conversations at Cannes Lions, they chose our catamaran - a floating base where decision-makers came aboard one meeting at a time. One boat this year. Four booked for next.

The boat did the selling for us. People came aboard for a meeting and stayed for the afternoon. One catamaran turned into four.

DOOR TO DOOR

You bring the team. We bring everything else.

One plan, one point of contact, and no additional project management on your side.

Always included. One sails. One runs the plan - timings, reservations, logistics, and daily coordination - so your COO can be a guest for once.

  • 00

    The extras

A dawn swim. A cliff jump. A wine cellar. A quiet cove. Our local network runs deep. Tell us what your group is like, and we will build the experience around it.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. The first takes 15 minutes.

  1. Book the call

Fifteen minutes. Tell us your preferred dates, approximate headcount, and what you want the retreat to achieve. We will answer with relevant routes and real numbers.

  2. Get your plan

Receive a tailored itinerary covering the boat, route, daily rhythm, logistics, and one all-in figure. Built for your team. Clear enough for your CFO.

  3. Step aboard

We run everything door to door. You land, we handle the rest. See you at the marina.
